Dodda-mane

Dodda-mane (Big House in Kannada) is a big house belongs to traditional brahmin family in Agumbe. It is like a travelers house where you will get accommodation and food for trekkers from Kasturiakka family.The serial Malgudi days (Stories by RK Narayan) which was telecasted in Doordarshan has been shot in this house. The family won't charge anything for food and accommodation, their will take as much as you can give. Its like a destination for trekkers to western ghats. Here photo of mine with kasturiakka.....
